21.01.2011

As kitchen trends come and go, there’s one thing you can always count on… white kitchens are still, and always have been the most popular colour for units.

But if everyone’s got a white kitchen, what can you do to make yours stand out?

Well Magnet has the solution… The Studio Spectrum.

This stunning new kitchen range is the epitome of minimalist sophistication with flawless, high gloss white units and integrated handles for a seamless finish.

The unit fronts boast toughened glass panels that are available in 10 striking colours that can be mixed and matched to suit your individual taste and create a unique look.

Some of this season’s hottest catwalk colours are available including an uninhibited parrot green, a bold orange of the Tibetan monks and a bright yellow singing at the top of its voice. Also available in violet, pink, blue, burgundy, aqua and black.

There’s from over 50 colours of glass splashback to choose from. They’ll give the kitchen an exciting and uplifting edge by complementing the existing colours or create a striking contrast.

Try an Apollo Quartz worktop in Argento Black to provide a dramatic contrast to the gloss white kitchen units and mirror the dark Boria Acero ceramic floor tiles.

If you want to add a dash of colour to your kitchen, check out our top five tips:

- Choose bright accent coloured accessories such as kettle and toaster

- Paint a feature wall in a bold colour

- Choose a coloured splashback in glass, tiles or laminate

- Remove a unit front to display a selection of stunning, colourful crockery

- Dress your kitchen table with a funky tablecloth and dishware

Catwalk Look Comes to the Kitchen

25.03.2010

This year we are seeing lots of floral prints on the spring/summer catwalks. They are varying from the vivid right down to the chromatic and in both maxi and mini prints.

If you open any homes magazine you’ll see that this trend is already making it’s way in to the home. But now, thanks to the latest technology, it’s even possible to add floral prints to the kitchen too!

Vibrant colours look great in designer kitchens and can be highlighted by matching coloured appliances such as cookers, toasters or kettles. For a truly contemporary look try extending the accent colour into accessories such as vases and crockery.

Kitchen Splashblacks are also a great place to replicate an accent colour. Magnet’s glass splashbacks can be colour-matched to any colour to create a truly unique kitchen design.
