At Beautiful Kitchens we’re often asked about upcoming trends, the latest kitchen designs and clever new gadgets, which is no surprise when you consider you’re likely to be investing a large sum of money.
When you’re doing your research, it’s important to know what’s out there so you can make the right choices from the start – after all, it’s not something you want to have to replace in a year’s time. That said, we’ve seen some changes to trends of late and the world of kitchen design is ever evolving.
For cabinetry, sweeping curves have hit the market in a big way, with fluid shapes, rounded corner cupboards and barrel-fronted doors taking centre stage, while texture and finish are also playing an important part – woodgrain, matt lacquers organic materials and leather-look surfaces are all big this year.
Colour has seen grey and natural finishes making an appearance, while white is still the preferred shade of choice. Technology wise, we’re seeing everything from flush-fit TVs and clever induction cooking to chromotherapy lighting and quiet-as-a-whisper appliances.
Whatever you decide upon, it’s worth taking the time to see what’s out there and choose your options carefully – you can get inspiration from lots of different sources, whether it’s magazines, showrooms or online.
