Everyone knows that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Cooking and making use of the facilities in the kitchen can be entertaining, educational and a great way to get engage with the kids.
Sometimes kids aren’t easy to impress when it comes to healthy eating, so why not work together to design recipes of your own? That way you can cater to the personal tastes of the family and build on your own family cookbook. After a few months it will become a masterpiece.
Another great way to get your children involved in food and cooking is to grow your own fruit and vegetables giving your child some of the responsibility and a project to work. Afterall, the food will contribute to an important part of their diets.
At Magnet we always recommend making family mealtimes as important as possible. It is a great time for everybody to speak about their days and to enjoy what you’ve been cooking together.
If in doubt – remember the wonderful saying “A family that eats together, keeps together.’
